DOW Froth Pak™ Foam Sealant
There’s no need to chink small roof/wall junctures with batt insulation. Now you
can enhance a building’s energy efficiency and save time with FROTH-PAK™
Foam Insulation (Class A). This two-component polyurethane foam from Dow
can be left exposed in commercial roof/wall junctures.
Typically, foam plastics require a thermal or ignition barrier according to the
2009 International Building Code (IBC). But FROTH-PAK™ Foam
Insulation (Class A) meets the 2009 IBC special approval section
2603.9, eliminating the need for a thermal or ignition barrier.
FROTH-PAK™ Foam Insulation (Class A):
- Passed NFPA 286 room corner fire test
- Can be left exposed in roof/wall junctures at a maximum
- 6" in height, maximum 2" in depth and unlimited length
- Shall not be used in lieu of a fire-resistance rated joint should one be required
